It's Green Day where you've never heard them before: on Broadway. American Idiot, a stage adaptation of the band's album, will come to the St. James Theatre on April 20. The rock musical will be produced by Tom Hulce and Ira Pittleman of Spring Awakening fame. No word yet on the cast, but the production had a successful run at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre last fall. The story will fittingly center on a "tale of disaffected suburban youth."
