You won't have Conan O'Brien to kick around anymore, NBC. Bringing the latest skirmish in the late-night wars to an end, the redheaded host signed off on The Tonight Show Friday, delivering a warm thank you (and some barbs as well) to the Peacock network for boosting his career. "This company has been my home for most of my adult life," he said, expressing his gratitude for having held "the best job in the world." After sustained chants of "Conan!" from the audience toward the end of the show, O'Brien joked that "that’s going to have to last me awhile." The show featured an array of A-list guests, including Will Ferrell, Tom Hanks, and Neil Young. Steve Carell conducted an on-air exit interview with O'Brien during which he ran his NBC ID through a shredder.
