As Scott Brown prepares to take over the Senate seat once held by liberal stalwart Ted Kennedy, he's told reporters that his fellow Republicans aren't assured of his votes and that in certain cases he may be willing to vote with Democrats. "There'll be issues where I'll be with you and there are issues where I won't be with you," Brown told Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Whip Jon Kyle. Brown recently shocked Democrats by beating out Martha Coakley for the Massachusetts Senate seat, largely on the promise of providing a 41st Senate vote against President Obama's health-care overhaul. The soon-to-be senator had kinder words for Obama's focus on job creation in his State of the Union address, and said, "I thought it was a good first step. I appreciated his sort of overtures to have more transparency and move involvement between the parties."
