Israeli industrial designer, Ron Arad, is returning to his adopted home of London with his blockbuster show, “Restless” that opened March 4. The exhibit explores art-design transition for Arad, who began as an architecture student in London and made a name for himself with the 1981 “Rover Chair,” which set off a new punk aesthetic. He went on to create the “Well Tempered Chair” in 1986 that was stripped of its comfortable features and in essence, its being. At the end of the exhibition, visitors can try out a selection of mass-produced chairs and lounges.
