Can Sprint make it back into the cellphone-provider game? The carrier unveiled the first 4G smartphone, which uses super high-speed wireless technology, in a bid to recapture customers after losing 9 million in three years. HTC Corp. made the phone, called Evo, which is scheduled to launch this summer. Evo will run on Google’s Android operating system, has a huge 4.3-inch screen to showcase its ability to handle high-definition video, and will feature two cameras, including one in the front to enable video conferencing. The phone can act as a wireless hot spot, allowing eight devices to connect. Additionally, Sprint announced an expanded list of cities that would have access to 4G technology. The phone will use 3G when 4G is unavailable.
