For the second time, Barack Obama’s nominee for Transport Security Administration chief has dropped out of the running for the position. Retired Army Maj. Gen. Robert Harding withdrew his name from consideration on Friday night amid an inquiry into his past as a defense contractor with his company Harding Security Associates. "I feel that the distractions caused by my work as a defense contractor would not be good for this administration nor for the Department of Homeland Security," said Harding. In January, Obama’s first pick for the position, Erroll Southers, withdrew when it seemed he would not be confirmed for the position after stories of him running background checks on the boyfriend of his then-estranged wife surfaced. Maybe Obama's third time will be the charm?
