Rodney Alcala, known as the 'Dating Game' killer after his appearance on the 1960s and 1970s show, has been sentenced to death after being convicted of murdering four Los Angeles women and a 12 year old. The judge upheld the jury's decision and denied Alcala's request for a new trial. Police have released almost 2,000 photos, some 30 years old and depicting people who've been missing for decades, that were taken by Alcala. Police hope that families of missing persons will recognize their loved one and come forward. Investigators want to solve as many cases as they can, though they realize they many never know how many victims were Alcala's. "They want to go at 110 mph after every lead they get," a police captain said. "We've received hundreds, literally hundreds and hundreds, of calls from all over the United States as well as numerous calls from western Europe... We've gotten a number of calls from families who are still despondent. Your heart really goes out to them."
