Cue Andrew Breitbart meltdown: California Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. watched the unedited raw footage of James O’Keefe’s infamous “Acorn pimp” videos and found significant problems with O’Keefe’s editing. For one, “He never claimed he was a pimp”; instead, he said he was a law student who wanted to use the proceeds from prostitution to run for Congress. Also, he omitted entirely footage where Acorn employees caught on to his act: One Acorn worker in San Diego called the cops on O’Keefe and his accomplice; another pretended that she had killed her husband, even though he was alive and well (O’Keefe didn’t realize she was pulling his leg and included that footage in his edited videos). "The evidence illustrates," Brown said, "that things are not always as partisan zealots portray them through highly selective editing of reality. Sometimes a fuller truth is found on the cutting-room floor." However, he also took Acorn to task for “highly inappropriate behavior.”
