Blackwater’s legal troubles rise to the top: The government indicted five former Blackwater executives, including former president Gary Jackson, on weapons charges including conspiracy to violate firearms laws, false statements, and possession of an unregistered firearm. The charges stem from an incident in which federal officials confiscated 22 illegally stockpiled automatic weapons from the company’s North Carolina headquarters in 2008. Jackson quit the company last year around the same time it changed its name to Xe Services.
