It's not easy being secretary of State, according to a new profile of Hillary Clinton in Esquire. Clinton says that the job "wears you out" between "the jet lag, the dry air on planes, the whole 'If it's Tuesday I must be in...' kind of thing." The former presidential candidate reaffirmed that she intends to serve only one term in the role, and hopes that she can keep up the frenetic pace until that term is over. "I do have good stamina and resilience," she says, adding that in today's world of instantaneous communication, it seems like travel would be unnecessary. "But in fact," she adds, "you almost have to travel more," both because travel is easier and because "it's almost as if the virtual reality cries out for the real relationships need to be affirmed."
