The firestorm over the controversial Arizona immigration bill passed last week has yet to die down, and even conservatives are joining the chorus of disapproving voices. After Florida's conservative U.S. Senate candidate Marco Rubio publicly criticized the bill, former Florida governor Jeb Bush followed suit, stating that "it creates unintended consequences" and that there are "civil liberties issues" with the bill. Bush will also lead a "nationwide strategy call with key business and evangelical leaders to share convictions around the need for immigration reform this year," according to the group Conservatives for Comprehensive Immigration Reform. Bush has long been in favor of comprehensive national immigration reform that protects U.S. borders but still allows for immigrants to obtain paths to citizenship.
