In the wake of a Times Square bomb scare earlier this month, the Sundance Channel has pulled additional showings of a film following a young woman during her preparations to become a suicide bomber. Her target? Times Square. The film, called Day Night Day Night, won a prize at the International Film Festival in Cannes, France, and has been playing on the independent film channel to celebrate the days leading up to this years’ event. The film’s description features a young woman preparing “to carry out her mission.” “Given the events of the past week,” Sundance said in a statement, the channel “has opted to suspend additional airings.”
