So much for revolutionizing the way smart phones are sold: Google announced on Friday that it will close the online store it uses to sell its smart phone, the Nexus One. The move comes after disappointing sales since the phone went on sale in January; Google had hoped to free consumers from having to buy phones locked into individual carriers. Instead, Google will now sell the phone in retail stores.
