Despite the White House’s stated contempt for token appearances and what it calls “theatrics,” President Obama is reportedly heading back to the Gulf Coast Friday to show that the oil spill is at the top of his agenda. "If the president thought that yelling at the top of his lungs would solve this crisis, he would stand on top of the White House and do that,” White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said. “But he believes this crisis will be solved by plugging the hole and responding to the damage done, not by method acting." The White House is also considering delaying Obama’s trip to Indonesia and Australia, scheduled for later this month.
