We knew it was coming: “I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this,” Steve Jobs said as he unveiled the iPhone 4 at the World Wide Developers Conference—a joking reference to the lost phone that was recovered by the tech blog Gizmodo earlier this year. New features include a new thinner design with a glass front and back and stainless steel around the sides; four times the pixel density of the previous iPhone—326 pixels per inch; a new operating system with multitasking; improved battery life that will support seven hours of talk; and a gyroscope that Jobs says is "perfect for gaming"; a new camera system with a 5-megapixel sensor and HD-video recording; and a new "iMovie for iPhone" app that will allow you to edit video directly on the phone. The new phone goes on sale June 24; preorders begin June 15.
