More trouble in Iraq: A standoff between Iraqi security forces and armed men trying to rob Iraq's central bank has left at least two dozen people dead. The robbery attempt followed the explosion of several bombs in a nearby marketplace, as employees were leaving work. "The criminal terrorist gang chose the end of the working day to create a confusing situation or to infiltrate among the employees," said Maj. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi. According to a senior security official, no money has been stolen. Al-Moussawi said that the attack is reminiscent of an al Qaeda attack. The standoff comes a day before the Iraqi parliament convenes, the first parliamentary meeting since March's inconclusive elections.
