Meg Whitman Shoved Underling, Reports Say

Wait until she meets the California civil service: While she was eBay’s CEO, Meg Whitman, now the Republican nominee for California governor, allegedly became so angry that she shoved an employee, who eventually got a six-figure settlement “around $200,000,” The New York Times reports. Young Mi Kim, the employee, was not hurt, but threatened a lawsuit over the altercation, which took place in an executive conference room in June 2007. (Kim pledged confidentiality in the settlement. She eventually went back to work at eBay.) The argument was reportedly over Kim’s preparation of Whitman for a press interview.
