This is the Argentina everyone was expecting. The free-wheeling, goal-scoring Argentina produced some of the prettiest soccer of the World Cup so far as they fired four past South Korea early Thursday morning, including a hat-trick by Gonzalo Higuain. The victory kept Argentina at the top of Group B and all but guaranteed they will advance to the second round. In the morning’s second game, Greece claimed its first ever win at a World Cup by beating Nigeria, 2-1. A mistake by the Greek goalkeeper allowed Nigeria to take the lead. But Greece came storming back after Nigeria went down to 10 men for a red card. Now the race for the second qualifying spot in the group is once again wide open, with South Korea and Greece tied at three points. Nigeria, however, was all but eliminated.
