Bullock Makes Surprise Appearance

Sandra Bullock made a surprise appearance Tuesday night at Nashville Rising, a benefit concert to raise money for the victims of the flood that overwhelmed the city last month. Bullock walked on stage with Faith Hill, wife of her Blind Side co-star Tim McGraw, to loud cheers from the crowd. Bullock said she was committed to entertaining the audience “Nashville-style,” pulled out a stool, and tried to play a few bars of Deep Purple’s “Smoke on Water” on an acoustic guitar. Then, confessing she couldn’t play, Bullock introduced Hill, whom she called “extraordinary.” “They say a community is only as strong as its weakest link,” Bullock told the audience. “And from where I stand, I see no weak links.”
