Alex Rodriguez became the youngest player ever to hit 600 home runs on Wednesday after cranking a long ball in the Yankees’ 5-1 victory over the Blue Jays. At 35-years, 8-days-old, Rodriguez joins an elite club that includes Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., and Sammy Sosa. Ruth is the next youngest, having reached the milestone at 36 years, 193 days; however, he needed 183 fewer games to reach it. Rodriguez didn’t have much to say about the achievement. "I really don't like talking that much," he said. "That was the old Alex." He has previously admitted to using steroids as a Texas Ranger from 2001-2003, when he hit 156 home runs.
