A new study may turn accepted wisdom about miscarriages on its head. Women who get pregnant within six months of a miscarriage are more likely to have a healthy, successful pregnancy than if they wait longer, according to a new report in the British Medical Journal. The study tested 30,000 women and found that women who conceived again within six months were 34 percent less likely to have a miscarriage than women who waited the previously recommended six to 12 months. Furthermore, women in the first group were 10 percent less likely to need a C-section and a 15 percent less likely to deliver a low birth-weight baby.
