The United States arrested Omar Khadr in Afghanistan and sent him to Guantanamo Bay when he was 15. This week, eight years later, Khadr will go on trial. CNN says that the 15 members of the U.S. military who will serve on Khadr’s jury will be seated by the end of the day on Tuesday. Prosecutors have indicated that they will pursue the death penalty, but human-rights organizations have criticized the military-tribunal process. The top prosecutor said Khadr’s age when he was arrested “is legally irrelevant.”
