Ladies, contain yourselves: the Backstreet Boys are close to inking a deal with industry giant Live Nation Entertainment to go on tour with New Kids on the Block, E! Online reports. Ryan Seacrest confirmed the news Wednesday on his show. The match made in heaven may be selling out stadiums as early as March 2011. "The idea is to recreate the boy band phenomenon," says the source, likening the pairing to a boy-band version of Hollywood's latest testosterone-fest, The Expendables. "It will be the ultimate ladies' night out." In June New Kids were joined onstage by BSB (sans Kevin Richardson, who left in 2006). Afterward Donnie Wahlberg tweeted "As for TONIGHT'S Concert... BACKSTREET BOYS got my respect forever!" Live Nation is brainstorming a third band to add to the line-up and, according to E!, Boyz II Men is a top choice.
