Michael Enright, the man who allegedly stabbed a New York City cab driver, does not seem to have the background of someone suspected of a hate crime. He's a film student at New York's School of Visual Arts, and was a volunteer with a group that strongly supported the proposed Islamic center near ground zero. Intersection International, the interfaith and multicultural group Enright worked with, has quotes by the mosque's founder on its website. Enright, 21, also had traveled to Afghanistan recently, working on a "nonpolitical" documentary on a Marine unit of a friend of his from high school. Police also said Enright made "nonsensical" comments after his arrest, and investigators said they saw no connection between the crime and Park51, the proposed Islamic center.
