Conan O’Brien has milked the Tonight Show fiasco for all it's worth. But he may have one more big chance to turn the knife on NBC Sunday night if he ends up winning an Emmy. The only thing protecting NBC is a legally binding agreement with O’Brien prohibiting him from making disparaging comments about his former employers. There could, however, be a loophole. The settlement agreement reportedly only protects NBC from “false” comments that would be viewed as “insulting or defamatory.” That could give O’Brien enough room to have some fun with NBC execs and Jay Leno in the audience during NBC’s telecast of the awards show. "He can still have a field day," said one Hollywood laywer. "He can make fun of NBC's ratings, its shows, as long as he's not saying anything false."
