A day after hosting an event to “restore honor” to America on the National Mall—on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech—Glenn Beck argued on Fox News Sunday that “race should not be in politics.” Over the years, he said, he has been falsely accused of “racial politics,” especially when it comes to his sarcastic comments about President Obama. Apparently, however, Beck has no problem injecting faith into politics. Disagreeing with Obama’s claim that "your salvation is directly tied to collective salvation," Beck said, “people aren't recognizing [Obama's] version of Christianity.” More reassuringly, Beck announced is that he has “zero desire” to run for president, dispelling any suggestion of a Beck-Palin ticket for 2012. "I don't think I would be electable," he said.
