Iran may be ready to discuss its nuclear program again, diplomats say. Last fall, the negotiations with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's government were abruptly tabled. On Wednesday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with leaders from Russia, China, Britain, France, and Germany to discuss the sanctions against the country that were put in place in June, as well as the possibilities for cutting a deal with the volatile leader. In the past year, Iran has appeared to slow down progress on its nuclear program all the while increasing its stockpile of low-enriched uranium. "We want the engagement to be a real engagement, and we will do some intensive thinking now to have an arsenal of ideas. But we also think it is time the Iranians produced an idea or two," one American diplomat told The Washington Post. "So far the pattern is we produce ideas and they produce enriched uranium."
