Though she’s often believed to be the bad girl of the runway, supermodel Naomi Campbell opened up to Interview magazine for their October issue. She explained that there was a sense of camaraderie amongther fellow models that she imagines doesn’t happen as much anymore. “When I was younger there were certain designers who hadn't used models of color in their shows, and Christy [Turlington] and Linda [Evangelista] said to them, ‘If you don't take Naomi, then you don't get us,’” Campbell said. “My friends and comrades stuck up for me--and that doesn't happen in fashion. I will never forget that.” In regards to her notorious tantrums and bad behavior, the now 40-year-old British beauty said, “I’m not a perfect human being… I’m trying to do better. I admit to my mistakes. I admit to the things that I’ve done wrong. I admit it. But I’m trying to do right by myself and my life now.”
