Palin Emails Reveal Rift With Miller

Things look like they’re getting mighty cold early in Alaska. A local political blog, The Mudflats, is reporting that there is a major rift between former Governor Sarah Palin and GOP Senate candidate Joe Miller. Miller, whose surprising victory in the August primary has often been credited to Palin’s endorsement, had reportedly received emails from Todd Palin after Miller appeared on television. Todd Palin reportedly wrote in an email sent to Miller, Palin’s attorney Thomas Van Flein, and SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford: “Sarah put her ass on the line for Joe and yet he can’t answer a simple question ‘Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president.’ I DON’T KNOW IF SHE IS.” Miller reportedly responded on September 22, writing “this is what we’re dealing with … Holy cow.” Although Palin had originally supported Miller through Twitter and by mentioning his name at her media appearances, the last time she tweeted about Miller by name was on September 2, the day after GOP opponent Lisa Murkowski conceded the primary.
