This kicks off the playoffs with a bang. Ace Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds. He allowed only one person on base the whole game—Jay Bruce walked in the fifth—and he struck out eight. The Phillies won 4-0, and took a 1-0 lead in the National League Division Series. This was only the second no-hitter in postseason history; Don Larsen of the New York Yankees threw a perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956.
