Well, “tequila party” certainly sounds more fun than “tea party.” California Republican candidates Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman took tequila shots in unison at the Hispanic 100 Lifetime Achievement Award Gala this Friday. Fiorina, who’s in a close race with Senator Barbara Boxer, was in high spirits, saying, “I think every speech should begin with a shot of tequila,” and even concluded with a well-received tongue trill. Whitman, who’s running for governor against Attorney General Jerry Brown, seconded Fiorina. “I’m with Carly Fiorina. We ought to do more events like this.” The night was especially important for Whitman, who’s being criticized for reportedly employing an undocumented worker.
