The last Chilean miner hasn’t been above ground for even 24 hours, and already the television networks are cashing in: Spike TV is set to announce a new mining reality-TV show made by the producers of Deadliest Catch. The network denies capitalizing on the Chilean rescue, saying it’s been working on Coal, as the show is called, for a year. However, the rescue did give Spike TV good timing for an announcement. The show will focus on the owners of a mine in Westchester, West Virginia, as well as their family and employees. It will premiere in April.
