The Yankees have a steep climb to the World Series ahead of them. After a whopping 10-3 defeat by the Rangers Tuesday night, they now need to win three games in a row. The turning point came in the sixth inning, when Yankee pitcher A.J. Burnett intentionally walked David Murphy, putting two on with Bengie Molina, the Ranger catcher, at bat. Molina hit a first-pitch homer, giving the Rangers a 5-3 lead. Adding injury to insult, Mark Teixeira strained his hamstring in the fifth inning and likely won’t be back this year. “I could feel it pop, I knew something was wrong,” Teixeira said. “It’s pretty bad.” Game 5 takes place at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, with CC Sabathia facing off against C.J. Wilson.
