The receipt of a suspicious envelope bearing swastikas and containing a white powder prompted authorities to evacuate the Tucson office of Congressman Raul Grijalva on Thursday. About a dozen people had to leave the office, though Grijalva was not present; he learned about the incident later. Police aren’t sure who sent the package, though Grijalva—a Democrat who’s in a tight race for reelection—has been threatened before. In June, a man from Phoenix threatened to kill the congressman; the following month, amid the controversy over Arizona’s immigration law, a bullet was fired into Grijalva’s office.
