The drama that is sure to follow the retrial of Rod Blagojevich will have to wait until April 20, after an Illinois court pushed back the original January start date. Blagojevich was only convicted on one of the 24 charges brought against him when he was tried in August for, among other things, trying to sell a vacant Senate seat when Barack Obama won the presidency. The jury was deadlocked on 23 counts. In the meantime, Blagojevich plans to continue proclaiming his innocence and pursue his reality-TV show career, while trying to raise money for his defense. He has even said that he would consider returning to politics once his legal troubles are behind him.
