George W. Bush's memoir is a mere two weeks from publication and with its recent the former president's unofficial exile will come to an end. As part of his return to the spotlight, Bush will appear on NBC's Today show, where his daughter is a reporter, and on Oprah. And yet, Bush says he'd rather stay out of the news. "I have zero desire, just so you know, to be in the limelight," he told an audience in Chicago last week. A week after the book's Nov. 9 release date, Bush will break ground on his presidential library at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. The school has just opened a mini-exhibition which features memorabilia from Bush's presidency. Most prominent are items that relate to the Sept. 11 attacks.
