Two very different comedies—one a raunchy road trip film from the makers of The Hangover and the other an animated superhero movie—battled it out at the box office this weekend, and the kids won out. Megamind, starring the voices of Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, and more, took in almost $50 million for the top spot. In second was Due Date, starring Zach Galifianakis and Robert Downey, Jr., with $33.5 million—a strong number for an R-rated film, but less than The Hangover’s $45 million debut. Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls made a strong debut in third, pushing the box office to its highest early November numbers since 2003.
