White House to Extend Tax Cuts

The new GOP majority’s first taste of getting its way: David Axelrod tells The Huffington Post that the administration will accept an across-the-board extension of the Bush-era tax cuts, saying that it seems to be the only way for middle-class taxpayers not to have their taxes raised. "We have to deal with the world as we find it," said Axelrod, “the world of what it takes to get this done... I don't want to trade away security for the middle class in order to make that point."
