Looks like Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) is having some trouble raising money the honest way: He walked out of his ethics hearing after asking the House ethics committee investigating him for corruption for more time on Monday, saying he needed a new lawyer. Rangel claimed to have blown through $2 million on his old lawyer and said he was broke; he said he needs to raise another $1 million to be able to hire a lawyer for the trial. He’s charged with 13 counts of financial and fundraising misconduct. The ethics panel concluded that they don't disagree with any of the facts of the case. Now the only issue is how Rangel will be reprimanded.
