The recovered bodies of a missing Ohio family show that they were stabbed multiple times before being dismembered, according to a report from the coroner’s office. In a strange case that has gripped the national media, Tina Herrmann, 31, her son Kody Maynard, 11, and friend Stephanie Sprang, 41, went missing on November 10 and were only discovered this week. Herrmann’s 13-year-old daughter was found alive, tied up and gagged in the basement of Matthew Hoffman, who has been charged with kidnapping and who gave information leading to the discovery of the bodies. "Either they knew Hoffman or Hoffman made himself known to them,” said the sheriff. The case is expected to reach a grand jury in four to six weeks.
