European police arrested 11 people Tuesday in Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands for plotting a terrorist attack in Belgium. Prosecutors said the people arrested—who were of Belgian, Dutch, Moroccan, and Russian descent—were suspected to be part a terrorist group called Answar al Mujahideen, and others were suspected to be part of a Chechan organization. Prosecutors said they weren’t aware of any direct targets within Belgium, which is home to the NATO headquarters and the European Union government. Seven suspects were arrested in Antwerp, a Belgian port city with a large immigrant population; another in Aachen, Germany; and three more in Amsterdam.
