John Dye, the 47-year-old former star of Touched by an Angel, was found dead in his San Francisco home Monday. A medical examiner could not determine a cause of death by Friday, but Dye's relatives believe he died of congestive heart failure, which prevents blood from pumping throughout the body. Dye eerily played Andrew, the angel of death, on the CBS hit drama. His death was not made public until his family could make memorial arrangements in his home state of Mississippi. The actor worked in television throughout the 1980s and 1990s, landing roles on The Young and the Restless and Murder She Wrote.
