Fashion designer Thierry Mugler, whose aesthetic peaked in the 1980s, made a buzz-worthy comeback on the runway Wednesday, kicking off Paris' menswear season with the help of Lady Gaga. The pop star’s stylist Nicola Formichetti is the brand’s new creative director, and for his first show, models strutted the catwalk to exclusive new music from Gaga’s upcoming album Born This Way. Prior to the show, Formichetti tweeted teasers and images from the 30-piece collection that stirred up a lot of hype online. Despite what fashion critics have to say about Mugler's latest collection, the images Formichetti tweeted offer a viral boost for the brand. "It's fashion without borders—it's new, it's me, it's youth, it's global, it's digital,” Formichetti said. “Gaga is much like me,” he added. “She collaborates with the best people.”
