Andy Coulson, director of communications for British Prime Minister David Cameron, has resigned from his job over allegations of his role in phone hacking during his time at Rupert Murdoch's News of the World have resurfaced. Coulson had left his newspaper job in 2007, after a reporter and a private investigator were imprisoned for tapping a phone line. In a statement Coulson explained, "Continued coverage of events connected to my old job at the News of the World has made it difficult for me to give the 110 percent needed in this role," and that it was time to "move on." News of the World is notorious for lawsuits particularly from celebrities who also claim their phone lines have been tapped.
