Will the early bird catch the worm? In a WMUR-ABC News straw poll out of New Hampshire—the country’s first of the 2012 presidential election—former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney won with 35 percent. Ron Paul finished second, with 24 points, followed by former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Sarah Palin. While Romney was expected to come out on top, thanks to his New England ties, the second and third place winners were up for grabs—and being watched closely.
