Anti-government protesters in Egypt haven't backed down after a deadly night that saw gunfire break out through Cairo's Tahrir Square. By Thursday morning, four people were killed and 200 wounded, according to one government official. By late morning Egyptian time, soldiers finally responded to the protesters' distress, lining up in the square to protect demonstrators against Mubarak supporters. Their arrival ended a long day of rock throwing and conflict between the two sides. The military also shut down a highway ramp from which government supporters were throwing rocks and propelling Molotov cocktails into the crowd. Still, by mid-morning Thursday, government supporters were gathering once again as another round of confrontations loomed.
