After spending several weeks at his wife Gabrielle Giffords’ side after she was shot in the head, astronaut Mark Kelly plans to proceed with plans to captain the final space shuttle flight in April. Kelly has taken time away from training to care for Giffords, who was injured January 8, and had put his plans on hold. But with Giffords' recovery in a Houston rehabilitation center proceeding well, NASA says he’s decided to be on board the Endeavor when it lifts off. At a press conference on Friday, Kelly said he "absolutely intends" for Giffords to be present at the April launch.
