After being forced to step down as head of Tea Party group Liberty Central and failing to get an apology from Anita Hill, she’s now billing herself as a consultant on governmental matters and political donations. Playing up her close ties to the Tea Party movement, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas boasts on the Liberty Consulting website that she’s met with half of the incoming GOP freshmen representatives and calls herself “a self-appointed, ambassador to the freshmen class and an ambassador to the Tea Party movement.” But the new job is already bringing her under fire by those who feel it’s inappropriate for the wife of a Supreme Court justice to be involved with hyperpartisan causes.
