Guess the protests in Egypt aren’t dying down, after all: Hundreds of thousands of people poured into Cairo’s Tahrir Square Tuesday, rejecting President Hosni Mubarak’s concessions and demanding that he step down. The BBC’s Jim Muir says it’s the biggest demonstration since protests began on January 25. The military originally tried to check the identity cards of protesters entering Tahrir Square but gave up because of the huge crowds. Al Jazeera adds that tens of thousands of people turned out in Alexandria as well.
