It’s back to square one for officials trying to figure out what caused sudden acceleration in Toyota cars. Transportation and NASA officials have concluded an investigation into the incidents and concluded that there were no electronic problems that explained the cases, leaving only sticky gas pedals and floor mats as potential culprits. The report is the culmination of 10 months of inquiry into incidents that forced Toyota to recall more than 12 million vehicles over safety concerns. As many as 93 deaths have been tied to sudden acceleration.
